Custom Training Sessions
Custom Boot Camps
The basis of the Advocacy Club's techniques is the application of case an analysis to everything lawyers say (ask) and do (argue). Not all organizations/firms are civil litigators. Many handle litigation in the field of administrative law, where different rules or techniques apply to directs, crosses, pretrial examinations and experts. The boot camp can be modified to cover these unique applications. Working with the organization/firm, we create a case study that allows participants to apply the techniques to their field.
To date, the Advocacy Club has conducted boot camps for the arbitration litigators at the NAFTA Trade Law section of Global Affairs Canada and the air safety enforcement team at Transport Canada.

Custom Advanced Sessions
From the early days of the Advocacy Club, boot camp graduates have participated in and helped to organize "advanced" sessions. Applying the techniques of both case analysis (the 7 Elements) and examinations (5-and-Outs), the advanced sessions present techniques aimed at more specific applications, such as motions, discovery, pre-trials, mediation. All such advanced sessions are experiential in nature. The sessions present the techniques and participants practice them. The Club can tailor its advanced sessions to the needs of specific organizations/firms. The experiential learning model is the best method to both train and promote team-building.
