Specialized Boot Camps

It will be a refresher for intermediate lawyers who have two to 10 years experience, including solicitors new to litigation and experienced litigators who want to brush up their skills. One four-hour hour session will cover the subjects of Case Analysis, Use of Themes and Application to Discovery, Direct, Cross and Closing. This camp will cost $375 plus HST per participant or $2,100 plus HST for a group from a single firm or institution (to a maximum of six participants). The camp can be modified to suit needs of the firm or institution.

Partnership with County of Carleton Law Association (CCLA)
In November 2016, the Club started a partnership with the CCLA to support common initiatives in areas such as experiential learning and mentoring. The kick-off meeting took place at the Civil Litigation Conference in Mont Tremblant. 40 AC members attended the meeting to suggest programs and share their views. AC members Andrew Ferguson (also a CCLA Trustee) and Victoria Boddy chaired the meeting.
"A Big Thank You to All!" -- Jane Beaumont
Outgoing Chair of Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) Jane Beaumont sent her thanks for the more than $5,000 dollars the Advocacy Club has raised to date, in support of the CNIB SCORE program for youth who are blind or partially sighted. This innovative program focuses on personal development, team building, leadership and career skills and civic responsibility, much as the Advocacy Club does with its members.
