Announcing the Advocacy Club's Streaming Video Series
|
The Advocacy Club is going online!
We are introducing the streaming video versions of the classic AC Boot Camp modules. Designed to work together with the Boot Camp, and in the future, Advanced Club offerings. Watch the 34-second or the 3-minute promotional video by clicking one of the buttons to the left. So far, there are nine high-quality streaming video courses, which brings the trusted Advocacy Club Bootcamp into the online sphere. The website compiles five courses Advocacy Club members will recognize:
The Boot Camp centers around the theme that lawyers should gather information strategically and use case analysis to inform all decisions, questioning techniques, and arguments. The first four courses consist of two episodes each. Final Argument has a single episode. There is no video yet in respect of the EDI content offered in the Boot Camp. Each episode in turn contains two sequences. The instructor, John Hollander, presents the first set of techniques and then two unrehearsed Advocacy Club members demonstrate how to practice and apply the techniques. This sequence repeats, so viewers can experience both the techniques and the exercises. Accompanying Show Notes provide suggested home-use exercises for viewers to practice alone or with colleagues. The series will shortly be offered as a standalone product. For now, it is a low-cost refresher for those who have completed the Boot Camp or or the best available alternative for those who miss a session and want to use the video to catch up. What are the benefits?

What users have to say
Overall, I very much appreciated and enjoyed the Masterclass Series. I found it to be very helpful and educational at this in-between stage in my legal career where I am articling and on route to becoming a junior associate, but out of law school. The Masterclass episodes taught me the importance of conducting constant analysis and were complementary to the work I am currently doing. It allowed me to better understand the stages in a legal proceeding and grasp the bigger picture. I can see it being very beneficial to have these episodes handy as refreshers/guidance throughout my legal career.
The videos were excellent and engaging. I did not at all feel bored or uninterested as I watched and learned. I enjoyed your explanations on the topics and watching the junior lawyers going through the exercises. Further, the way you asked the junior lawyers questions [part of the videos] also allowed me to think about the same and this was great. It was very helpful to watch the junior lawyers practice the techniques in a natural way and at times struggle, versus their answers being scripted and them knowing exactly what to say.
The case study was perfect for the exercises. It was not overly complicated and was written simply and in straightforward language. I liked how there were instructions to try the techniques from the perspective of each character.
